Modern Slavery Statement
Holland Park Man and Van Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Holland Park Man and Van has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place.
Modern slavery is a crime and a serious violation of fundamental human rights. It can take many forms, including servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded labour, child labour, and human trafficking. Holland Park Man and Van recognises its responsibility to take a robust approach to this issue and expects the same high standards from all parties with whom we engage.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Holland Park Man and Van maintains a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not tolerate, condone, or knowingly engage with any individual or organisation involved in such practices. This applies to our own operations, to all workers engaged by us directly, and to all third parties who supply goods or services that support our business activities.
All employees, contractors, agency workers, and other personnel are required to act in line with our ethical standards. Any breach of this policy by our staff may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract. Any breach by suppliers or business partners may lead to suspension or termination of the business relationship.
Our Supply Chain and Supplier Audits
Our supply chain primarily comprises providers of vehicles, fuel, equipment, premises, and related services necessary for the provision of man and van services. We recognise that risks of modern slavery can exist at various points in these supply chains, particularly where labour-intensive services, subcontracted work, or international sourcing are involved.
To address these risks, Holland Park Man and Van is implementing supplier due diligence and audit processes. We seek to work only with suppliers and partners who can demonstrate their own commitment to preventing modern slavery. As part of this, we may conduct checks, request evidence of relevant policies, and require confirmation that they comply with applicable legislation concerning modern slavery and human trafficking.
Where appropriate, we may carry out audits or assessments of higher-risk suppliers and contractors. If any concerns are identified, we will seek to work with the supplier to address them through corrective action plans. Where issues cannot be resolved to our satisfaction, we reserve the right to reconsider or terminate the relationship.
Reporting Channels and Protection
Holland Park Man and Van encourages a culture of openness and accountability. We expect all employees, workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions about modern slavery or unethical practices connected with our business or supply chains.
Concerns can be raised through established internal reporting channels or directly to management. Reports may include, for example, signs of coercion, exploitation, withholding of identity documents, restrictions on movement, or any behaviour that suggests workers are not free to leave their employment.
We will treat all reports sensitively and, where possible and appropriate, confidentially. No one who raises a concern in good faith will suffer any adverse treatment, including retaliation, dismissal, demotion, or any form of victimisation as a result of speaking up.
Training, Awareness, and Continuous Improvement
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery among our staff and key suppliers. Where appropriate, we will provide guidance and training to help employees recognise indicators of modern slavery, understand how to respond to concerns, and follow our reporting processes.
We aim to embed respect for human rights in our everyday practices, including our recruitment procedures, onboarding processes, and supplier management. We continually review our internal controls and practices to strengthen our ability to identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery.
Governance and Annual Review
Responsibility for overseeing this Modern Slavery Statement and related practices rests with the senior management of Holland Park Man and Van. They are responsible for ensuring that adequate resources are in place to support the implementation of our commitments and that these are communicated effectively across the business.
This statement will be reviewed at least once every 12 months and updated where necessary to reflect changes in legislation, best practice, and our own operations or risk profile. As part of the annual review, we will assess the effectiveness of our measures, consider any incidents or concerns raised, and identify opportunities for improvement.
By publishing this Modern Slavery Statement, Holland Park Man and Van reaffirms its commitment to operating ethically, protecting vulnerable individuals, and contributing to the global effort to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking in all their forms.
